John has had the pleasure to work his entire career (31 years in June 2020), for Swagelok Company, which is located in Solon Ohio. He has held several positions over the past 31 years in the areas of engineering, material science, quality, customer/technical service, and currently as the Director of Supply Chain.
John graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Baldwin Wallace College and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Dayton, and later returned to Baldwin Wallace College for his MBA.
His non-profit experience includes serving on the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center Engineering Technology Advisory Board and the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra Board of Directors (3 years as Board President) as well as Values-in-Action.
Born and raised in the Cleveland area, John has been married to his wife Carolyn for 30 years. They have 3 children: John (25), Katie (24), and Andy (21). Both boys are talented jazz guitar musicians and are pursuing careers in music. Katie is currently working on her doctorate degree at the University of Akron studying Integrated Bio-Science.
