Cleveland's Top 10 Kindland Draft Picks
With the 2021 NFL Draft in Cleveland, Values-in-Action, decided to hold its own Kindland Draft as a part of its Cleveland to Kindland campaign. The draft enabled Clevelanders to nominate individuals and organizations that spread kindness throughout our community. Values-in-Action is proud to announce the Top 10 draft picks as chosen by its Kindland co-chair committee out of over 100 nominations:
Army Captain Jacob Bell & the 53rd Logistics Company
For their extraordinary coordination of the mass COVID-19 vaccinations at the Wolstein Center
Brandon Chrostowski, EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute For giving formerly incarcerated adults a foundation in the culinary and hospitality industry while providing a support network necessary their long-term success
Heather Holmes, Voices of Cleveland
Organizer of Voices of Cleveland, a public art initiative allowing artists of color the opportunity to express their feelings and emotions and create a platform for dialogue and healing
Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns
For his work in the Cleveland Community and the Water boys program in East Africa, donating food in Cleveland and necessities to the Cleveland Hope Exchange, raising money for the Alzheimer's Association, Footpath Foundation and actively supporting racial & social justice and equality through various program in the Cleveland schools
